my story
growing up
When I was a kid, I was always fascinated by how things work. I'd pull apart old radios, just to look at the pieces. As I got older, I stumbled my way into the music and film, picking up a guitar and a SONY hi-8 Handy Cam. I learned to play a few chords, read a few books on cinematography, and starting editing movies in Windows Movie Maker (The Windows Me version- before they nerfed it and took away all the useful tools). I wanted to be a song writing, music producing, film making jack of all trades.

The lost years
In 2011, I graduated with my AAS in Audio Engineering from Spokane Falls Community College. From there, I started writing and producing music. I had a long way to go, and a lot more to learn before I realized the dream, but try and tell that to a twenty-two year old kid. After years of struggling, with menial success as a songwriter/performer entering his thirties, and a growing sense of cynicism, depression, I knew that I needed to shake things up. I needed to take the artistically stifling pressure of making my art a commercial success out of the equation entirely. I needed to find a new gig.

Service & Design
In 2020, I began to find a new sense of purpose in small acts of service to others. I knew that no matter what, I wanted to make net positive impact on the world.
Shortly after, I began studying graphic design, and after an introductory web design course, I fell in love with coding. It reminded me a little of taking apart old radios. I quickly pivoted my focus to web, and in 2024, graduated with my BAS in Graphic Information Technology with a concentration in Web Design and Development from Arizona State University.
post graduation, I still needed to figure of what to do. In a world driven by marketing, AI, with a digital landscape that changes as you blink, where did I fit?

Nice and Niche
Feeling the same old cynicism waking up, I knew I had to act quickly before it took over. I knew what I didn't want to do. I didn't want to contribute to the internet landfill by creating soulless, corporate websites. Then it hit me. Maybe I could help people like me: Artists and artisans, small business and non-profits, people with stories to tell.

Design for Dreamers
If you, like me, have a dream. If you feel like you're just one voice in a thousand all screaming at once. If you want to be heard, but the thought of self-marketing makes you want to crawl back under the duvet, than I design for you.
I am not the most talented designer ever. There are plenty of others who can do what I do and much more.

so why choose me? I understand voice, I want to hear your vision and translate it to the design- I want your design to be the most 'you' it can be. Marketing- yeah I know, it feels like a necessary evil, but it doesn't have to be- I design using your existing 'brand' identity, or help you develop one in the process. Collaboration, I want your input as much as your trust. I want to make you something you're happy with. Story, I want to tell your story, because we all have one, and it's the greatest tool we have.
